For Karen Kaye Roberts' Hephzibah and The Dragon, I designed a cover that encapsulates a century of China’s rich history, focusing on the intimate and tumultuous life of Wenxiu, the Secondary Consort of Qing Emperor Puyi. The artwork reflects the themes of love, intrigue, and the emergence of hidden truths against the backdrop of significant historical events. Through the interplay of light and shadow, the cover evokes the deep emotions and mysteries woven throughout this compelling narrative, inviting readers to embark on a journey through time and the complexities of human relationships.
