For Bryan Saye's Storm of War, the immersive first volume of the Crusaders Chronicles series, I designed a cover that thrusts readers into the raw intensity of the 1097 Crusades. The focal point captures the brutal aftermath of a duel, with one warrior fallen, framed by an elegant Islamic arch. In the background, the silhouette of a radiant golden tree hints at both the beauty and stark reality of the Holy Land.
